Auto Presets for Melt, Simmer, Keep Warm and Boil Automatically set the right heat for different techniques and stages of cooking, taking the guesswork out of choosing settings.

Control Lock Disables cooking mode for easy cleaning when not in use.

Frameless Design Allows flush installation for a seamless look or standard installation to fit an existing cooktop cutout.

Pan Size Detection Recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. An indicator light and sound will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected element or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.

Power Boost Function Allows you to exceed the maximum heat-level setting for 5 minutes, to help you get to a rapid boil

Requires Induction-Compatible Cookware Such as multi-ply stainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron. Aluminum and copper cookware will not work unless it has a base made of iron or steel. Look for pans marked "Works with Induction" or test to see if a magnet will stick to the bottom.

Sensor Induction Technology Generates heat directly within cookware, reaching high temperatures quickly and cooling down rapidly for precise control that enables a full range of cooking techniques.

Touch-Activated Controls For assisted cooking modes, auto presets and numerical power settings are simple to use. The seamless design is also easy to clean.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Scratch

The cooktop surface is very easily scratched even though we were extremely careful. Very disappointed.

Solid choice for an induction cooktop

srp831 9/2/2026

We purchased this cooktop when replaced all of our kitchen appliances. We like the responsiveness of the controls and the rapid heating of pots and pans. It has a consistent output and looks good on our island. It is nice to be able to "dial in" settings with precision. I wish we had enough room for the larger version of the cooktop to improve functionality with our existing cookware.

Always Efficient

AVROB 9/2/2026

This Induction Cooktop replaced my very old cooktop that had old-fashioned burners. I was wary at first with this new type of cooktop being a senior used to something more vintage. But, this KitchenAid product is so efficient and precise with the heating levels that I am totally impressed. I am so very relieved that it is safe to use and very reliable too.

Great features and fast acting!

McD1 9/1/2026

This is my first induction cooktop and my favorite parts are the quickness of the temperature and the smooth surface. I did not like cleaning the gas burners on previous stoves so I was glad to get a smooth surface again. It does heat much faster than our previous electric stovetop. I did have to invest in some new pots and pans that are compatible but they were easy to find.

Very happy with my new cooktop.

WVNed 7/23/2026

The cooktop heats faster than any I have ever used. No more real need to preheat pans. Even a heart cast iron skillet gets hot in like 30 seconds. It entertains you with stimulating sounds while it works. It is so nice to have nothing sticking up when you clean it. My only complaint is that I wish they had inverted the burner layout on either side so you would have a small and medium burner in the front.

Never buy Kitchenaid!

Neil McDonald 3/16/2026

I bought 4 appliances for a new kitchen all of them Kitchenaid. 3 have had problems. The cooktop that I am reviewing cracked from front to back not long after installation. We did not drop anything on it. Kitchenaid deemed this crack to be cosmetic and would not cover it under warranty. Our dishwasher leaked from day one. The service engineer said the tub was out of shape and it also needed a new pump. After he left I researched my consumer rights. The law says I am entitled to a replacement so I notified Kitchenaid. Following that call the notes on the account were updated to say that the damage was don™€™t at the time of installation and is not covered under warranty. Do yourself a huge favor and look at other brands. Kitchen aid will find a way to not stand by their products. Look at other people™€™s reviews. I wish I had.

Complete waste of money

LndaW 1/13/2026

I have bought A LOT of Kitchen Aid appliances over the years - across four different homes, and have typically been happy. In our last home we had the induction cooking/oven combo and I loved it. So when we moved I immediately replaced the standard electric cooktop in this out with this induction cooktop. First off, the layout of the 'burners' is ridiculous. If you have a large pan on the center burner, you can't put anything on the smaller back burners, and can barely fit the smallest pan on the front burners. Super inconvenient. But worst of all is the middle large 'dual zone' burner is not dual zone. When you put a large pan on, only the center heats up. Fine for boiling water but when you are actually trying to cook eveything comes out uneven as you have to keep pushing whatever you are cooking to the middle - the real heat never gets to the outer part of the pan. Had service come out to look at it and they are telling me it is designed that way - that the outer part of the pan is not supposed to heat up? Seriously?? I will continue to pursue this but given the hassle I would say you should look elsewhere for an induction top.

Works well and I am very satisfied.

Joe1945 11/23/2025

I bought this to replace a 12 year old Kitchenaid 4-element Sensor Induction Cooktop that still worked like new but was broken when a drinking glass fell on it. This new cooktop fit into my countertop, was easy to wire in, and works great!

Looks good when you shine a light on the cooktop

KrobKitchen 10/4/2025

I love most of my KitchenAid appliances but the cooktop is NOT one of them. I have already had it replaced by KitchenAid and the new one is: I have already had it replaced by KitchenAid and the new one is: 1. hard to to turn on 2. likewise it is hard to turn off 3. if a drop of liquid spills one of the "burners" it immediately shuts down ... again a drop of liquid which might be from from another "burner" steaming. not worthy of shutting it down. 4.you CANNOT have 5 pans going at once. period. there is NOT enough room on the cooktop. 5. again, the cooktop is so dark you can not see which button is which - when you touch the top the controls should light up a bit.

Bring Back Knobs

Frank Flintsave 9/16/2025

I bought this and love the technology. The controls need to be modified. I know we live in a world of touch screen, but these touch buttons coupled with the beautiful glass allow fingerprints to be left at every push, especially since you have to tap multiple times to raise the controls up or down. Locking the panel requires you to keep your finger on at least 3-5 seconds. So there's a lot of finger grease on the stove. This isn't a phone where your hands are relatively clean while using. You're cooking and many times have spooge all over your hands. Maybe I'm obsessive but I'm constantly wiping the fingerprints off the glass. Good old fashioned knobs or other controls not embedded in the glass would make this a superstar appliance.

I like the cooktop although would have preferred the mid sized burners closer to the front and the small ones at the back on at least one side. I am short and mostly use the mid sized burners and don™€™t like having to reach to the back of the stove. It is scratched already as well.

The cooktop heats really fast. The auto feature doesn't always seem to work right though as far as keeping a simmer. Its easy to clean and looks great.

Wish I could trade for a different model.

Afton74 8/26/2025

Honestly, I really wish I could trade this out for a different model. I typically love the KitchenAid brand, but in our new house, we are not a fan of the cooktop or the refrigerator. This is our second induction cooktop. At our last house we bought Frigidaire. We thought we were stepping up in quality, but it was just more expensive for less user-friendly. The buttons are more finicky, the hot plates are so close together that it's tough having multiple pots/pans going at one time, and you can only use one larger pot, while the other four hot plates are quite small. So pots are often touching and having to partially slide off of their hot plates to make room. Overall, my family does not enjoy cooking on this cooktop. As soon as it's feasible, we will buy a different one.

third time large burner burned out

Edie G. 7/17/2025

I bought this in March 2020 and I loved it. Fast, efficient, and easy to clean. In March 2021, the large burner burned out. It was repaired under KitchenAid warranty. In March 2023, the large burner died again. Fortunately we had an extended warranty and it was fixed again. Now in July 2025, the same BURNER DIED AGAIN. And now the PARTS ARE UNAVAILABLE.. It's the only large burner on the cooktop rendering it basically useless. I am so angry that it can't be repaired and it's only 5 years old. And the reviews on the newer 30" induction cooktop aren't very good. Might need to replace with another manufacture. Very disappointed.
